Talented Java desktop app/ Android app developer in CHATSWOOD, New South Wales
We are a start-up company located in Chatswood. We're looking for a great programmer to join the next big start-up company in Sydney.
This is an exciting opportunity for a developer to work on a very new technology. You need to be highly motivated, passionate about technology and keen to use your skills to make a difference in the world!
We are looking for a candidate who is eager to grow in the start-up culture.
Please note that we are looking for desktop application developers. Applicants that are only experienced in enterprise development or web development need not apply.
You need to:
• Have an excellent eye-for-detail and a can-do attitude.
• Debug code / work with 3rd Party Hardware
• Perform code review and analysis
• Work in a true agile environment
• Good communication both written and verbal
• Good at working with already developed/fermented code
The skills required:
• Previous experience in writing/debugging desktop Java applications that run on multiple platforms (Windows, Mac, Linux, etc)
• Experience in Java programming is a plus, or if not at least experience in a similar language (C#, Python, etc) is required
• Experience in any Java EE is NOT required, but a small plus
• Previous experience in working on a networked application (does not have to be Java based)
• Experience in networked real-time applications is a plus (e.g. Games, Collaboration software, Chat, etc.)
• Java Android App development, IOS App development or HTML 5 is a plus
• Experience with Linux/Unix servers is desirable
• Experience with PHP & Server applications is desirable
• Experience with Integrated Learning Environments (Preferably MAustralialisted) is desirable
• Experience in developing sophisticated and automated back-end/cloud-based server systems is a huge plus
• Experience in managing continuous integration infrastructure is a huge plus
• Passionate about new technology
A demonstrable portfolio of published works will also be favourably considered.
In addition to the salary, shares and commissions will be offered to the right candidate.
